Two-Step Payment Process
All CellPay utility payments follow a mandatory two-step transaction process. This design ensures proper validation before executing financial transactions and provides an opportunity for user confirmation prior to final processing.
Book Payment
The Book Payment step is used to validate transaction inputs and service availability prior to executing a financial transaction. During this step, the API consumer submits the required parameters for the selected service, including service identifiers, customer details, and payment amount.
For services that support dynamic configuration, the Book Payment response may include additional information such as package options or service-specific fields returned under Get Possible Values. These values must be captured and used in the subsequent Confirm Payment step where required.
No wallet balance deduction occurs during the Book Payment step. A successful response generates a unique Booking ID, which is mandatory for transaction confirmation.
Confirm Payment
The Confirm Payment step is used to finalize the transaction. In this step, the API consumer submits the Booking ID generated during Book Payment along with user authorization details and any required service-specific parameters.
If validation is successful and sufficient wallet balance is available, the transaction is executed and the wallet balance is deducted in real time. The final transaction status is returned to the API consumer.
