Introduction to Wallet-Based API Model

The Wallet-Based API Model is a service consumption framework in which the API consumer operates using a dedicated CellPay wallet to execute transactions through the CellPay Services API. Under this model, the API consumer is required to maintain a prefunded balance within the CellPay system, from which transaction amounts are debited in real time.

Wallet Provisioning and Onboarding

During the onboarding process, CellPay creates and provisions a wallet account specifically for the API consumer. This wallet is uniquely mapped to the consumer’s integration credentials and is configured in accordance with the approved service scope, transaction limits, and compliance requirements. The wallet is activated only after completion of all necessary due diligence, contractual agreements, and technical onboarding steps.

The API consumer does not need to independently create or manage wallet infrastructure. All wallet creation, configuration, and lifecycle management activities are handled by CellPay as part of the onboarding process.
